The International Union of Muslim Scholars Holds the Fourth Meeting of the Board of Trustees for Its Sixth Term: Reviewing Activities and Addressing Ummah Issues
The International Union of Muslim Scholars (IUMS) convenes meetings of its leadership, secretariat, committee heads, and branch directors at its new headquarters in Doha, Qatar, from November 28 to December 1, 2024.
Broad Participation
Out of 52 members, 40 will attend the meetings in person, while the rest will join remotely via video conferencing. The sessions bring together the union's president, vice presidents, secretary-general, assistant secretaries, committee heads, and branch directors to discuss critical issues and outline future plans to achieve the union's objectives and mission.
Board of Trustees Meeting
The fourth meeting of the Board of Trustees for the sixth term, held on November 30 and December 1, 2024, is the centerpiece of these gatherings. Key reports on the activities and projects of the leadership and secretariat will be discussed, alongside administrative and financial reports from various committees and branches.
One major highlight is the discussion of the union’s five-year strategic plan, which will define the course of action for this term. The Board of Trustees plays a vital role in shaping the union's vision and approving its future strategies.
Addressing Issues of the Ummah
During the meetings, a dedicated session will focus on pressing issues facing the Islamic world, including:
