General Secretariat Meeting: Priority on Implementing the 2025 Strategic Plan
The General Secretariat of the Union held a meeting yesterday, Tuesday, chaired by the Secretary-General, Dr. Ali Al-Sallabi. The session lasted for over an hour and addressed several significant issues regarding the Union's directions for 2025.
Dr. Al-Sallabi emphasized that matters have become clearer this year compared to previous periods. He underscored that the primary focus now is implementing the annual strategic plan, seeking God's guidance for sincere efforts aimed at excellence and quality in all areas.
Dr. Al-Sallabi highlighted the pressing need to engage scholars capable of executing the strategic plan approved by the Board of Trustees. He also stressed the importance of linking this plan to the broader Civilizational Revival Project.
He acknowledged that the significant changes occurring in the Islamic world are blessings from God and reaffirmed the Union's commitment to supporting crucial causes, foremost among them the Palestinian cause.
Gaza Situation
Discussions included the prospect of a ceasefire in Gaza and preparing for the post-war phase, focusing on relief efforts and assistance. Emphasis was placed on the Union's educational and academic role in this context.
Global Campaigns and Islamic Constants
The meeting also addressed the importance of activating the Union’s role in promoting Islamic constants and supporting families through coordination with scholars and Muslim communities.
Regional Focus and Minorities
Attention was directed toward monitoring the Union’s branches in regions such as the Balkans and Central Africa and providing support to persecuted minorities.
Reforms and Consultation
The meeting highlighted ongoing reform projects and the importance of engaging imams and preachers in coordination with relevant authorities. Continuous consultation was stressed for decision-making in political matters, adhering to the methodological principles approved by the Board of Trustees.

The meeting concluded with prayers for mercy upon the martyrs in Palestine and for the release of those unjustly detained in Gaza and elsewhere. The participants expressed hope for their imminent freedom.
