IUMS consoles Muslim world on departure of Sheikh Mohamed Riyad, former SG of Scholars Association, Sri Lanka
With believing, accepting hearts, the IUMS mourns the departure of Sheikh Mohamed Riyad Jalaluddin, a senior scholar and the former secretary general of the Scholars Association in Sri Lanka who died Tuesday Dec. 10th at nearly 80 years of age. The deceased scholar – may he be in God’s mercy – played a significant role in defending the Islamic creed, serving Islam and Muslims, and was keen on unifying Muslims in Sri Lanka.
The IUMS as it mourns the departed, pleads to Allah the Most High, the All Powerful to grant him a beautiful acceptance, to forgive him, give him the best reward for his deeds, to grant him an honorable abode and spacious resting place, to make Paradise his destination, to resurrect him on Judgment Day with prophets, truthful believers, martyrs, and goodly people, and to inspire his family, colleagues, members of the Scholars Association in Sri Lanka, Muslims, and the people who love him patience and solace, for He is the Best Guardian and the Best Answerer to our prayers.
