Strengthening Islamic Cooperation and Sustainable Development: Secretary-General of Jamaat-e-Islami Meets with IUMS Secretary-General

His Eminence Dr. Abdulrahman Berani, the Secretary-General of Jamaat-e-Islami in Iran and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Union, and his accompanying delegation, were received by His Eminence Sheikh Yusuf Al-Qaradawi, the Secretary-General of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, at the Union's headquarters in Doha. The meeting addressed many issues and discussions, including the activities and initiatives of the Jamaat-e-Islami at the state level, emphasizing its importance in promoting Islamic brotherhood.

The meeting also addressed international issues, with a focus on supporting the victims of the recent earthquake that struck Turkey, in which the Jamaat played a role, and the efforts of charitable organizations to assist the affected people.

The meeting also discussed the most important news of the International Union of Muslim Scholars and the efforts it will undertake in the upcoming phase, including the approaching of the General Assembly of the Union.

Berani expressed his appreciation for the role played by the Union in supporting scholars, scientific institutions, and social services in the Muslim community. He emphasized the importance of cooperation and coordination among Islamic associations and institutions in achieving good and sustainable development.

These constructive meetings between the Union and Islamic associations are an important step in enhancing cooperation and coordination among Islamic institutions towards achieving sustainable development and serving Muslim communities.
